This Privacy Policy explains how DUBPLATE SOCIETY (Australia, New South Wales) ("Dubplate Society", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use our website, apps and related services.
We aim to handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles to the extent they apply to us.
1. Personal Information We Collect
We may collect account and profile information such as name, artist name, email address, password hash, profile photo, bio, social links, account preferences and settings.
We may collect transaction and payment information such as purchase details, buyer contact details, Checkout Session IDs, Payment Intent IDs, Stripe Connect account IDs and related payment references. Payment card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
We may collect artist and listing information including audio files, artwork, metadata, waveforms, file identifiers, listing titles, descriptions, tags, pricing, limits and availability settings.
We may collect technical and security information such as IP address, device and browser information, log data, referrer URLs, cookies, rate-limit events, fraud indicators and security audit records.
We may collect download, delivery and watermark records needed to fulfil purchases, investigate support issues, deter unauthorised redistribution and maintain audit integrity.
We may collect support, abuse, copyright and leak-report information, including details you submit and any files or URLs supplied for review.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, buy content, sell content, upload files, contact support or submit reports. We also collect information automatically when you use the Service, and from third parties that help us provide the Service, such as Stripe payment confirmations.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide, operate and maintain the Service; create and manage accounts and sessions; process purchases; deliver digital goods; support creator payouts through Stripe Connect; generate previews and watermarked deliverables; detect and investigate fraud, abuse and suspected leaks; send transactional messages; improve the Service; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms.
4. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information to payment providers such as Stripe, infrastructure and storage providers, email providers such as Resend, analytics or measurement providers, rights-holders or creators in connection with leak reports, and law enforcement, regulators, courts or other parties where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Overseas Processing
Some service providers may store or process data outside Australia, for example in the United States or other regions where their infrastructure is located. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards.
6. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, support security and fraud prevention, and measure usage and performance. We may use first-party or third-party analytics tools to understand how people use the Service.
If advertising or measurement tools are enabled, they may collect or receive information about interactions with the Service. We will update this Privacy Policy as our advertising setup evolves.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls and secure storage practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Retention and Account Anonymisation
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Transaction, financial, delivery, refund, dispute, security and audit records may need to be retained after an account is closed or anonymised.
Where accounts are anonymised, public profile data and active login access may be removed while retained records continue to link to internal audit references needed for payment, support, legal, abuse-prevention and accounting purposes.
9. Access, Correction and Choices
You can request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by contacting support@dubplatesociety.com. You can also disable cookies in your browser, although some features may not function properly.
10. Complaints and Contact
If you have a privacy concern, contact us and we will try to resolve it. Privacy questions can be sent to support@dubplatesociety.com.
